I’d like to tell you all a little story about Chiropractic that happened last week. I was speaking to a telephone representative concerning new phones. He said, “I was wondering if you would allow me to tell you a story. It’s about my mother.” I told him I would be interested to hear the story. He told me that she had a bad fall in the 1970’s, actually almost breaking her neck. Medical care basically had her bedridden for 17 years and addicted to pain medication. So after 17 years of non-functioning and addiction she decided to go to a Chiropractor. Well she saw this Chiropractor regularly and after about a year she was totally off medication and walking and working and feeling great. She became a messenger for Chiropractic and I am sure a patient of that specific Chiropractor until she died. This is an extreme, although not unusual story about the vast possibilities of Chiropractic.
This was a totally unsolicited story brought on by the representative noticing that I was a Chiropractor. Little did he know that I have practiced for 42 years and have seen and heard stories like this many times. Never ceases to give me goosebumps when I hear a story like this. So give yourself a treat and try Chiropractic. You may be surprised.

Chiropractic care is essential for a normal functioning nervous system. The benefits of Chiropractic care range from the more obvious benefits like, improved flexibility, decreased pain, and a positive health mentality. Some of the lesser known benefits are improved immune function, better gastric function, and a more positive outlook on life. People of any age will benefit from Chiropractic care. I have personally adjusted one day old infants to over one hundred year young seniors. In over 40 years of practice I have enjoyed sharing Chiropractic to a wide range of people and even to animals. Come in and experience Chiropractic and learn for yourself.
Rule of thumb: Heat is for muscles. Ice is for injuries.
* Heat promotes muscle relaxation and can increase range of motion. It opens blood vessels to increase blood flow, relaxes muscles and helps alleviate pain.
* Heat is a great way to help loosen up tight joints and tight muscles. It is also a good method of pain relief for tension headaches and other chronic conditions. Always wait 48-72 hours before considering heat therapy. When in doubt use Ice.
* Ice calms down damaged tissue and slows down the blood flow to an injury, to reduce swelling, inflammation and controls the pain.
* Ice should be used right after an injury or activity that aggravates a chronic condition. Ice is good for migraine headaches, bumps, sprains, and strains that may occur with sports, slips and falls, or lifting. Cold therapy is also helpful in treating some overuse injuries or chronic pain in athletes. When in doubt use ICE!
Myofascial Release is a soft tissue technique in which a force is applied to a musculoskeletal structure to release or stretch the underlying fascia and to mobilize any adhesions. Fascia is a thin layer of connective tissue that covers and supports a muscle. Myofascial Release aims to release skeletal muscle tissue shortness and tightness with a safe, low load stretch on the underlying structures to release fascial tightness and myofascial pain.
